Investigations into the Rameshwaram café blast case have revealed that terrorists initially planned to target IT parks in Bengaluru's tech corridor, but high security prevented them from planting bombs on the premises. The National Investigation Agency arrested the suspected bomber, Mussavir Hussain Shazib, and mastermind, Abdul Matheen Taha, in Kolkata. The terrorists aimed to hit Bengaluru's reputation as the IT capital of India and draw international attention by targeting one of the IT parks in the Whitefield IT corridor.
