Microsoft invests $1.5 billion in Abu Dhabi's AI firm G42, securing a board seat as it seeks to strengthen its lead in the AI industry. G42 will run its AI applications and services on Microsoft's Azure service and both companies will jointly develop AI products. Microsoft Vice Chair and President will join G42's board of directors, and the deal was made in consultation with the U.S. and United Arab Emirates governments.
