Ireland's WRC 2025 bid cancelled due to insufficient government funding.
Ireland's bid to host the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2025 has been canceled due to insufficient funding from the Irish government. Motorsport Ireland, the governing body for motorsport, planned to host WRC events across Waterford, Kerry, and Limerick, with an estimated €300 million economic impact. The government did not approve the requested €15 million funding grant by the WRC's deadline.
