1919 historic tug "John Purves" returns to Door County Maritime Museum after winter repairs.

The historic Tug "John Purves" returned to its dock at the Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay after repairs over the winter. Built in 1919, it has been at the museum for over 20 years. The 149-foot-long boat needed significant work, including patching holes and welding, at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay. The Tug John Purves will be open for guests from May 1st.
