EU's Anti-SLAPP "Daphne's Law" for journalist protection, published in Official Gazette.

The EU's Anti-SLAPP directive, named "Daphne's Law" after murdered journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, was published in the Official Gazette, six years and six months after her assassination. It sets minimum standards for protecting journalists, activists, academics, and other public watchdogs against abusive litigation across the EU. Malta has 24 months to transpose the provisions of the directive into national legislation.
