Women who underwent "One Size Fits All" breast augmentation surgeries in NSW and Queensland filed a class-action lawsuit against The Cosmetic Institute in 2017, alleging negligence by surgeons and staff led to complications including heart problems, punctured lungs, and seizures. The long-running case was scheduled for a civil hearing, but a last-minute $25m settlement was reached to compensate patients for physiological and psychiatric treatment, further revision surgery costs, and other losses.
