A Caucasian Shepherd dog named Badger, trapped in a contaminated well, was rescued by a firefighter in County Durham.
A dog trapped for a week in a 15ft deep well in County Durham was rescued by firefighters who used a fire hose as a sling. The Caucasian Shepherd was found up to its neck in contaminated water after falling into the well and was rescued by a Cleveland Fire Brigade firefighter. The dog, named Badger by rescuers, is being cared for by the RSPCA who are appealing for its owner to come forward.
