Barrister Simeon Burke's conviction for breach of peace during brother's trial overturned due to insufficient evidence.

Barrister Simeon Burke's conviction for a "volatile" breach of the peace during a court case involving his brother Enoch in Dublin was struck out after a judge found insufficient evidence of a criminal offence. At an appeal against his District Court conviction, Judge John Martin stated that Burke's behavior did not meet the threshold for a public order offense. Burke had denied the charge and was previously convicted and fined €300 for the offense.
