68-year-old William Christy died in a house fire on North Street, Albion, as first responders struggled to rescue him due to the quick spreading flames. Neighbors and emergency personnel tried unsuccessfully to enter the burning mobile home. The fire was contained around 12:10 a.m., but Christy was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
