15-year-old Savana Isles from Hastings made seven survival blankets from recycled crisp packets, fulfilling her volunteering requirements for the DofE Bronze Award. Each blanket required about 56 crisp packets and was made for the Community Interest Company (CIC) Crisp Packet Project in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, which repurposes crisp packets and plastic waste to create items such as survival blankets and bivi bags.
