23-year-old right-handed pitcher Orion Kerkering has been reinstated by the Philadelphia Phillies after completing his rehab assignment with Single-A Clearwater. He was recovering from a right forearm strain and performed well during the rehab, with 4.1 scoreless innings, two hits, and 10 strikeouts. To make room for Kerkering, right-hander Nick Nelson has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
