24-year-old former Marine, Chance Brannon, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for firebombing a Planned Parenthood clinic in Costa Mesa, California, in 2022. Brannon, who was an active-duty Marine at Camp Pendleton at the time, pleaded guilty to four felony counts, including malicious destruction of property by fire and explosives, and intentional damage to a reproductive health services facility. He also admitted to planning further attacks on other locations. Co-defendants Xavier Batten and Tibet Ergul have also pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
