The Western Australian Government establishes a 2024 Dry Season Taskforce, to be chaired by Wheatbelt Development Commission CEO Rob Cossart, in response to the state's changing climate. The taskforce aims to support farmers and rural communities during dry season challenges, expected to become the "new normal" due to climate change. They will focus on finding solutions to support those affected by increasing occurrences of dry seasons.
