The US Bureau of Prisons plans to close a women's prison in California called the "rape club" after an AP investigation revealed rampant staff-on-inmate sexual abuse. Despite attempts to reform the facility, the agency determined that it is not meeting expected standards and that closing is the best course of action. FCI Dublin is the only women's federal prison west of the Rocky Mountains and currently houses 605 inmates.
