Wealthy areas in the UK provide twice as many HRT prescriptions for women experiencing menopause compared to less affluent areas, according to research commissioned by women's health company Theramex. The NHS spent £26,253 per 1,000 women in Winchester but only £5,030 per 1,000 women in Sparkhill, Birmingham. Dr. Sue Mann, the NHS' first national director for women's health, calls for equal access to HRT and urges GPs to promptly respond to female patients seeking help.
