Telangana BJP chief and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy staged a protest at the party office in Hyderabad, accusing the Congress government of failing to fulfil promises made to farmers. Reddy demanded the government pay Rs 25,000 per acre compensation for farmers whose crops withered due to lack of irrigation water supply. He claimed that the Congress government has not implemented any of the guarantees given to farmers, including waiving farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh.
