2024 Paris Olympic Games feature a purple track at Stade de France, replacing traditional red-brick clay.

Fans will witness a purple track at the Paris Olympic Games this summer, as a departure from the traditional red-brick clay color. The pieces of vulcanized rubber track, produced in northern Italy, are being laid at Stade de France, the stadium hosting track events. Over 1,000 rolls of the track will be used, requiring about one month's work and 2,800 pots of glue. The new track color is an innovative change for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
