On Sunday afternoon, a residential fire in Oakland was caused by spontaneous combustion of a lithium battery, according to the Oakland Fire Department. The firefighters contained the blaze to the garage, and fortunately, no injuries or displacements were reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental or spontaneous ignition of the lithium battery.
