New Zealand Treasury releases a framework for assessing economic and fiscal impacts of climate change based on CEFA 2023 report.

New Zealand Treasury released a new Analytical Note on assessing the economic and fiscal impacts of climate change, developing a framework for deeper understanding. The framework, co-authored by Melanie Craxton, Bettina Schaer, Tim Maddock, and Carly Soo, is based on the Climate Economic and Fiscal Assessment (CEFA) 2023, a joint report by the Treasury and the Ministry for the Environment. This initiative aims to fully understand the effects of climate change on New Zealand's living standards by evaluating potential threats and opportunities.
