NZ Trade Minister Todd McClay met with Chinese ministerial counterparts in Beijing, confirming China's requests to join the CPTPP and DEPA will be considered by member countries. Discussions focused on the 2022 FTA Upgrade provisions, bilateral cooperation, and regional and multilateral trade developments. McClay also reaffirmed New Zealand and China's commitment to strengthening agricultural and forestry cooperation.
