Irish telecom company Eir fined €7,500 for threatening staff with disciplinary action for following complaint procedures.

Judge Anthony Halpin fined Irish telecom company Eir €7,500 for threatening staff with disciplinary action if they followed customer complaint procedures in line with the company's code of conduct and Irish law. Eir was convicted at Dublin District Court for breaching the Universal Service Regulations and pleaded guilty to 12 offences for the two-year period starting mid-2021. The company also paid €10,000 in costs.
