Early Sunday, a fire destroyed a shop/storage building on Rickard Road, spread to a nearby home, causing $200,000 damage, and is under investigation.
Early Sunday morning, a fire destroyed a shop/storage building on Rickard Road east of Bend and spread to the exterior of a nearby home, causing $200,000 damage and leaving the home unlivable. Bend Fire crews arrived at the scene at 12:45 am, and quickly contained the fire while protecting nearby structures. The shop and contents were a complete loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
