Conservative MP Tim Loughton will not stand for re-election in East Worthing & Shoreham.

Tim Loughton, a longstanding Conservative MP, announced he will not stand at the next general election after representing East Worthing & Shoreham for over 27 years. The veteran backbencher, who has served on the Home Affairs Select Committee, is the latest Tory MP to announce they will not be seeking re-election in the next election. Loughton joins a growing list of Tory MPs planning to exit Parliament, in the latest blow for Rishi Sunak.
