2024 Canada carbon rebate first installment deposited for eligible Canadians in select provinces, based on 2023 taxes filed by March 15.
Today, the first instalment of the 2024 Canada carbon rebate will be deposited for some Canadians living in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and the Atlantic provinces, if they filed their 2023 taxes by March 15. The payments, based on household size, range from $190 in New Brunswick to $450 in Alberta for a family of four. The rebates will be issued four times a year and are aimed at offsetting the cost of carbon taxes.
