Ambuja Cements, a subsidiary of Adani Group, has acquired My Home Group's 1.5 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) cement grinding unit in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, for ₹413.75 crore. Located near the Tuticorin Port, the facility will help expand Ambuja Cements' presence in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The acquisition includes a long-term fly ash agreement, an existing dealer network, and the retention of current employees, facilitating a smooth transition and rapid ramp-up of utilisation. The deal increases Adani Group's cement capacity to 78.9 MTPA.
