18-year-old Chatham woman, Zara Belanger-Pepper, an advocate for children's mental health, has won a $40,000 Laurier Scholars Award while studying psychology and neuroscience at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. She is one of only seven first-year students to receive the prestigious entrance scholarship from 380 applicants. Her strong advocacy for children's mental health has contributed to her success.
