97-year-old Gene Herrick, AP photographer known for capturing iconic images of Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and the early civil rights movement, passes away. Herrick documented the Korean War and the trial of Emmett Till's killers as well. His 1956 photograph of Rosa Parks being fingerprinted after refusing to give up her bus seat is particularly well-known.
