Former BJP legislator A M Krishnamoorthy, Puducherry's first BJP MLA, passed away at 66 after a prolonged illness. He represented the Reddiarpalayam constituency from 2001 to 2006. Krishnamoorthy later left BJP and joined AIADMK, before rejoining BJP in 2014. Lt Governor C P Radhakrishnan expressed condolences, highlighting Krishnamoorthy's love for the people and contribution to Puducherry's development.
