A 35-year-old driver was rescued by firefighters after his Jeep crashed into a utility pole and became tangled in live power lines in Middletown. The crash occurred on Reservoir Road near Training Hill Road around 1 p.m., causing the utility pole to break and wires to come down. The driver was trapped in his car and was later transported to the hospital in stable condition. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
