Sunrise presenters Matt Doran and James Tobin were absent from their show after it was revealed they knew one of the victims of the Bondi massacre "very well". Co-host Monique Wright acknowledged their absence due to the tragic event hitting close to home. The attacker, 40-year-old Joel Cauchi, killed six people and left 12 injured, including a nine-month-old baby who underwent emergency lifesaving surgery.
