New Mexico prosecutors are seeking a maximum 18-month prison sentence for Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the "Rust" movie armorer convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for firearm safety and storage on the set, has been accused of repeatedly failing to maintain proper safety measures. Actor Alec Baldwin, who held the gun that fired the live round, is also facing involuntary manslaughter charges in Hutchins' death.
