Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario partnered in a two-day distracted-driving enforcement blitz, resulting in 46 charges. The blitz targeted cellphone and device use while driving on Highway 401, with the goal of reducing distracted driving and improving motorist safety. Distracted driving made up the majority of charges, and other offenses included failing to wear a seatbelt properly.
