Mount Pleasant unit severely damaged by fire on Sunday; Emergency services responded to reports of the property being fully engulfed in flames on Morton Street. Firefighters contained the blaze by 4:20pm, but the cause has not been determined. Ballarat CFA Captain Mark Cartledge advised residents to check properties, including working smoke detectors and well-maintained heaters. Powercor crews were also on scene.
