High fire danger expected in North and Central Georgia due to low humidity and strong winds.

High fire danger conditions are expected in parts of North and Central Georgia due to low relative humidity (25% or less) for at least four hours this afternoon and evening, combined with northwest winds of 10-15 mph with gusts reaching 20-25 mph. The National Weather Service advises residents to check with local burn permitting authorities before engaging in outdoor burning activities and to exercise extreme caution if they choose to burn outside.
