A new report by Solar Citizens shows that Australian households could save $9.3bn annually on energy bills by investing in untapped solar potential on residential rooftops. The nationwide investment would pay for itself in under six years and deliver average household savings of $1390 per year. The report, based on analysis from the University of NSW, found 45.8GW of untapped photovoltaic potential on residential rooftops, particularly in social housing, apartment buildings, and rental properties.
