A woman in her 60s was fatally struck by a train in Holly Hill, Volusia County, around 2 a.m. on Saturday while trying to cross the tracks at 3rd Street. The freight train was traveling under 50 mph. The conductor was cleared of wrongdoing, and the railroad stretch has reopened. Deputies are still working on identifying the woman and contacting her next of kin. This incident is under investigation.
