28-year-old Venezuelan triple jump world record holder Yulimar Rojas, the reigning Olympic women's triple jump champion, will miss the Paris Olympics due to a torn left Achilles tendon. Rojas, who won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and holds the world record for the event, underwent surgery in Madrid to repair the tendon.
