Pitt County commissioners in North Carolina are set to decide whether to donate a Confederate monument removed in 2020 to a nonprofit, Commemorating Honor, Inc. The monument, originally dedicated in 1914, may be displayed at Valor Memorial Park in Davidson County or on land leased at Lee Jackson Memorial Park in Fairfield, Virginia. The relocation process will not incur costs to Pitt County.
