Newark postpones April 12th Juvenile Safety Initiative curfew for children under 18.
Newark has postponed its planned curfew for children under 18, initially set to begin on April 12th. The curfew, part of the Juvenile Safety Initiative, would require young people to remain within 100 yards of their homes between 11pm and 5:30am, with first-time offenders receiving a verbal warning and being escorted home. A new launch date for the curfew is yet to be confirmed.
