Missouri State University plans to build a $20m Clifton M. Smart III Advancement Center with a $1m anonymous donation, set to open in summer 2026.

Missouri State University will build a $20m Clifton M. Smart III Advancement Center, named after outgoing president Clif Smart, with a seven-figure anonymous donation. Located near the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center, the 28,000-sq-ft facility will serve as the home for the Alumni Center, the MSU Foundation, and university advancement staff, opening in summer 2026. The project aims to raise $10m privately.
