India's Lady Hardinge Medical College has started its Radiation Therapy facility, providing the first radiation therapy treatment to a cancer patient using Brachytherapy equipment on April 9. The new High Dose Rate Brachytherapy equipment and a CT-Simulator unit have been installed in the newly constructed Radiation Oncology Block, allowing the hospital to provide state-of-the-art radiotherapy services for cancer patients.
