Former MoD official Jeffrey Cook jailed for misconduct, took £70k in secret payments while seconded to defence contractor Paradigm.
A former Ministry of Defence (MoD) official, Jeffrey Cook, has been jailed for misconduct in public office after being found guilty of taking £70,000 in secret payments. Cook received cash payments and cars while employed at the Government department and seconded to a defence contractor called Paradigm between 2004 and 2008. The court heard that Cook used his position to commission reports from offshore consultants during this time.
