150-foot Vessel sculpture in NYC's Hudson Yards to reopen with safety barriers after 2021 closure due to suicides.

The Vessel, a popular climbable sculpture in New York City's Hudson Yards megadevelopment, is set to reopen later this year following a string of suicides that forced its closure in 2021. The 150-foot structure will feature new steel mesh barriers on its stairways and platforms, with the top level remaining off-limits. Hudson Yards' owner, Related Companies, plans to welcome visitors back with added safety measures.
