De Beque's Scottie Vines sets new Colorado state high jump record at Phil Wertman Invitational.

De Beque's Scottie Vines, a senior Track and Field athlete and basketball star, has set a new state high jump record in Colorado. At the Phil Wertman Invitational at Stocker Stadium, Vines jumped 7-4 1/4, surpassing the previous record of 7-4 flat, which had stood for over 30 years. The former record was set by Matt Hemingway in 1991, who later won an Olympic Silver Medal in 2004.
