Australian PM praises 'hero' officer who shot dead Sydney knife attacker responsible for six deaths in a shopping centre. The New South Wales Police officer was part of a response team to the stabbing spree, where she appeared to be on her own as she fired at the attacker. She later tried to resuscitate him and was lauded for her bravery by the Australian Prime Minister, who said her actions undoubtedly saved lives.
