Ryanair challenges High Court warrant over competition authority searches, claiming lack of informed legal basis.
Ryanair is challenging a High Court warrant used by competition authorities in Ireland and Italy to search its premises, alleging the warrant was invalid. Ryanair claims the issuing judge was not informed of two key Italian rulings that it says support its stance that it is not abusing its dominant market position. The airline is asking the court to quash the warrant, issued by the Dublin Metropolitan District Court, and to declare that material seized during the search may be tainted as a result.
