Streaming service provider Roku has identified a second cyberattack, affecting 576,000 accounts, while investigating an earlier breach that impacted 15,000 user accounts. The hackers did not gain access to sensitive information like full credit card numbers or other payment details. Less than 400 cases were found where information was used to make unauthorized purchases of streaming service subscriptions and hardware products. Roku will refund or reverse charges for accounts where unauthorized purchases have been made.
