Punjab Police arrested an associate of Jaipal Bhullar gang, seizing 3 kg heroin & 2 pistols in a crackdown on cross-border drug smuggling networks. The gang sourced heroin from Pakistan, and investigations are probing linkages. Punjab aims to disrupt drug supply chains and make the state drug-free. The police are also working with the BSF to strengthen defences against drone technology used for smuggling.
