Philippines' manufacturing output increased by 7.5% (VaPI) and 8.9% (VoPI) in February, driven by computer, electronic, and optical products.

The Philippines' manufacturing output sustained growth in February, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The year-on-year Value of Production Index (VaPI) and Volume of Production Index (VoPI) increased by 7.5% and 8.9% respectively, with the February VaPI growth faster than the 5% year-on-year growth in January. The PSA attributed the expansion in the annual growth of the VaPI in February to the double-digit yearly increase in the manufacture of computer, electronic, and optical products.
