India's Air Force (IAF) conducted a "dark night airlift" to bring an injured Indian Army soldier, whose hand was severed during machine operation, to a Delhi hospital. The soldier underwent an emergency surgery and his severed hand was stitched back at the Army's Research Referral (R&R) Hospital. The IAF's rapid response ensured the soldier received timely medical attention and increased chances of his recovery.
